Since this is built off the SSBB engine and whatnot, does it mean its online will be like SSBB or will they make it work like Mario Kart Wii.

They said the online would be better. Has it been confirmed that they're using the SSB engine?

I don't remember them saying they're using the SSBB engine--just that it's a similar kind of game made by some of the same guys.  It's possible, but not definite.

 

But yes, they confirmed that the online system will resemble something that came out more recently than 15 years ago.

Im going to wait for a character that I dont expect to get excited, I was expecting Casey along with a foot soldier or two and Karai. What I'd like to see is the Rat King, Leather Head and old School Krang (from dimension X)
