The Conduit was hopefully the game to push me into buying a Wii again. IT visually looks like the best Wii game Ive seen. I motion it looks pretty good. It even has a few post processing effects in there that I never expected from a Wii game. Alright it's no HD console graphics, but it still impresses on the Wii.

I never liked Metroid Prime as a First Person game. Always since the first GC game felt the controls were horrible, and the level design was very poor. Even the latest MP game I tried and cannot get into. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather play Super Metroid.

Anyway looked at Metacritic expecting 90+ and after 5 reviews ~The Conduit has 79! Official Nintendo Magazine gave it 76%!!!!!!

What the hell happened to this game?

Anyone played it? Can anyone please tell me what went wrong. The Nintendo Magazine said the controls can be messed up even though you can customise. IT works alot of the time, but also doesn't work some of the time. Can you play with Dual analog? ( Always hated the wii motion for FPS controls, li,e in MOH, COD especially MP. )

I was really hoping this game was Awesome.

I have the official magazine I referred to. I bought the mag because of The Conduit review. So yes.

I understand all that, but the one that hit me was the OFFICIAL NINTENDO MAGAZINE. 76. Thats not even close to the score they gave MP. I thought it was gonna be a great game across the board. Not just ok-good. Damn I was looking forward to it. Enough to purchase a wii.

Apart from technically great graphics and smooth controls, what have good have you ever heard about the Conduit? Let's make a list.

Great design - no.
Innovative gameplay - no.
Awesome weaponry - no.
Intelligent enemies - no.
Groundbreaking story - no.
Epic battles - no.
Addictive online - no.

Really, if the Conduit had been released on any platform other than the Wii, it would have recieved no hype or interest in any way, and it would immediately been judged as a subpar game on all levels.

This said, I haven't played the game. I can only judge from PR, impressions and trailers.

Believe it or not, they actually score a lot of Wii/DS games below average.

I personally don't understand the hype around the game. FPS is one of the genres I don't like though (along with Dungeons and Dragons style games, stealth games, puzzle games, and traditional sports games).

Buy it and try it. People seem to generally like it a lot on here. At least the one who already played it...

Those expecting 9/10 reviews for this was a bit unrealistic to put i mildly. High Voltage Software have a pretty mediocre track record.
