If there was no pirated games for the PS2, I wouldnt be surprised to see its software outsell the 360s on a weekly basis

I dont see how. To those that say Europe loves PS2 still. You havent seen our local game shops.

Barely find 2nd hand PS2 games let alone brand new in shops.

Game our biggest UK distributor had 7 PS2 games on a small stand last Thursday. That was it. There is just no room with Wii and 360 taking the majority of space followed by DS and PSP then lastly in it's corner is PS3.

We just dont really have PS2 on sale here much. Unless you go carboot or mainly specialist 2nd hand shops. But from new you'd be lucky to find a shop with 20+ games for PS2 brand new.

What shops are you going to? My local Gamestation, Game and Playtime all have loads of PS2 games (HMV has a nice (although latest) selection as well), both 2nd hand and new, the only difference between now and last year (give or take) is that these game are no longer in a dominant position in the store. There are hundreds still though.

I agree with the 20+ new ones, though unless you mean titles not actual copies, but that's due to the fact there just aren't any games coming out for it anymore.

Hmm, pie.

I mean literally 20 games thats it. That was GAME. GAMESTATION has always had more as they do Snes and MegaDrive still as well.

HMV you would be lucky to find a PS2. I live in Plymouth. Here to get PS2 stuff your better going to Market or Entertainment Exchange.

Dont bother with GAME, Gamestation, HMV for instance. And places like Curry's dont do them at all anymore.

Guess it's just a regional difference then, our Game, GameStation etc have lots but like I say, not in a dominant position in the store like it used to be. You are right with Curry and such a like though but then Curry's were never a big seller of games, my local Asda still sells them, not 2nd hand either. Heck even Wilkos has a few crappers/cheap games.

Around London where I live most HMV, Game, etc have plenty of PS2 shelf space and titles, both full price (i.e. not new title but not used version either) and used.  It's never in prime location of store, but it's there.  The only stores I've seen with minimal PS2 support are very, very small stores.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I don't really trust Nielsen and their 2000 person samples.
