I want Bushido Blade on XBLA, now.

NAO!

we've already seen SOTN on XBL and I don't doubt that more PS1 games could be on XBL. But I have to imagine that the licensing, contracting and emulation of these games should already be in Sony's pocket.

Why dont they release all the xbox originals on PSN? Whats stopping them from doing it?

Xbox games are like PS2 games and since most of the PS3 out there don't have BC it wouldn't make since to release them

ALL PS3s do have PS1 BC.

Hmm, pie.

A PS2 Buzz game is on the PSN. And if they can put PS3 games why the hell can't they put an Xbox or PS2 game.

I never said it can't be done. I said that Sony does not offer a place to put these games like Microsoft does, so no one gives a shit to add any. Want to know how there are so many old console games on the Virtual Console? It's because Nintendo gave each console a dedicated section. When Sony gives PS2 games a dedicated section on PSN, I'm sure some third parties will think to add games to it.

Hmm... are you suggesting that there's a PS1 classics area on XBLA, where symphony of the night resides?  'Cause I haven't seen it :)

Seriously though, Sony really should add the PS2 section.  The problem is probably that they've been dancing around the subject since they removed backward compatibility.  They really ought to make a decision on what they're doing with that.

It probably takes more work to rebuild a game for a different console than it does to just dump the .iso on the Playstation Network.  Could it happen?  Of course!  Should it happen?  It would make a ton of people happy!  Now if only there were a way to communicate this to SE, as an english speaking fan...

In the meantime, it'll just have to be one of those things that makes the grass a little greener on the PSN store.

And that is precisely why there is a total of one PSOne game on Xbox Live and not 20-40 titles.

What is stopping it from happening is that those games would require work, unlike on PS3 which can perfectly emulate PS1 games. Also, it could be that they want something new... And who knows, maybe Sony has their hand in this, somehow.

Sony has no service to offer them the chance. Show me the PS2 section on the Playstation Network. On the other hand, PS1 titles published by third parties can be on Xbox Live, just like how Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is.

Castlevania: SotN is not PS exclusive right? I am not sure though.

It was on the Saturn, but only in Japan, I think.
