Interesting. Wonder what the launch price would be, over $200 and its not gonna do so well.
However, you would think that SEGA realized since GameGear you can't beat a Gameboy solely off of power. Hell, Sony didn't even learn that lesson.

Seems more like the architecture of a new Arcade system, not a hanheld or console
@ BADGENOME
How many batteries does a NOMAD use?
About as many as the original Game Gear so for those specs this would need a laptop battery.
Well I was excited but now gutted.
Still hold out hope for SEGA though.
The PSP consumes 7W while charging the battery and simultaneously playing. We can assume that's peak power, as it will consume a lot less than that while not charging, running off the battery alone.
The 4650 + Celeron 440 combo has a TDP of 105 83W. Even if real power consumption is half that, if a PSP lasts six hours then this new handheld would last an hour on a full charge. With that kind of dissipation it would get seriously hot, and the form factor just wouldn't hold even very stripped down versions of those things.
Basically it would need a laptop form factor and would not be a console competitor.
ROFL, with the PSP Go coming out, does SEGA really have a chance?
I think this is fake. GPU seems just way too powerful (it is much faster than PS3 and 360 has) and using optical media isn't practical either for handhelds. And CPU isn't designed for handhelds either. With these specifications battery life would be short too unless console would be very big for a handheld. Although, in theory, this is possible.
I also doubt Sega Sammy would have enough money to develope and launch advanced handheld like this. It is just way too expensive because with current competition you would need billions of dollars to even launch console or handheld properly. And lauching a handheld is just as expensive as lauching a console if not even more so.
@Soleron:
The TDP of the CPU + GPU is actually 83W, but that's with a 512 MB GPU. But I agree these specs look insane for a handheld, even if they shrink down the circuits a lot.

PSPGo, hahahahaha, PSPGo doesn't even have a chance.
PSPGo will *go* away like the Gameboy Micro.
This (if real) has a chance if it is priced at $199 at the most.
As much as I'd like this to be true, I don't put any stock into this guy and that website.
