Forums - Nintendo - Gamespot will give The Conduit a low score, if they even review it.

^^^ I HATE seeing that 8.8 for TP. especially when they complained about the controls better on the 'cube then complaining about the GC's controls compared to the Wii.

TP is a great game, but the score is absolutely fair. Of course I do not agree with every single thing said, as is the case with most reviews, but an 8.8 is what I would have given it at most. It is actually the only Zelda title that I grew bored of. I actually stopped playing it in the Sky Temple and did not complete the game until about a year later.

This coming from a HUGE Zelda fan since the original on the NES.

You were right about the score but wrong about everything else. At the time of this thread's creation anyways.

Wii page background on Gamespot is The Conduit. The site has numerous The Conduit advertisements.

^^^At the time I posted this thread, The Conduit was nowhere to be found on GS except for 1 link to the "Conduit Video".

I swear to God, the site was probably fitted with TC advertisements 20 minutes after I posted this thread originally.

Anyways, this was the last straw to break the camel's back for me when it comes to reviews. I was done with GS a long time ago, but this just reinforces what I thought months ago. Even IGN drops the ball sometimes (Sonic and the Black Knight), but they are the only people I go to for anything Nintendo related.

GoNintendo has great news, better than any other.

Of course GoNintendo would seem great. As is the case with a Playstation, Xbox, etc... site majority of the news, reviews, etc... are favorable.

A review is just one person's opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. It is always best to just play the game yourself and judge that way. No use in people ever getting worked up over a review.

*Not saying you are worked up, it is just that I have already seen many get like this lately.*

Oh, GoNintendo just has good NEWS. I don't go to them for reviews. Releases, interviews NOT taken out of context and stuff. I was enraged when the GamePro review came out, but that was days ago. Now I just don't care about reviews anymore, at least the Wii ones. If I won't get an honest review, why bother. I have VGChartz users and games in the hands of gamers themselves that serve as reviews.

Amen! I too would much rather trust the opinions of friend's here than someone at IGN and/or Gamespot.

A quick lesson to those paying attention.

Just because a game review site doesn't give a game you like a great rating, doesn't mean it's a bad website

I absolutely loved Sacred 2, and they, in my opinion, butchered that score to all hell. I actually fault IGN more on this one but its off topic.

JRPG's suffer from this too for the most part (Eurogamer says hi).

All in all , in a post modern world where we can basically cherry pick the information that suits our opinion best, sometimes , no matter how much I hate to read it, there are negatives to almost every game out there. And it would do you well to pay attention to the meta scores.

Euphoria nailed it, did anyone consider for even a second that this isn't a good game?

As in go buy us some coffee.

Yes, Gamespot hates the Wii.

Jeez, give it up already. Sometimes games just aren't as good as some expect them to be. I am so sick of this "Reviewers hate the Wii" garbage. It is childish and it looks even worse when people say things like "Wow! Awesome!" when the same site rates a game like Tiger Woods 10 high.

If Gamespot rated The Conduit 10/10 I would be seeing "I Love Gamespot" in sigs and avatars. Either that or the usual "Eh, just rating it high so people don't think they are biased". -.-

Sorry, but as I said, some games just do not live up to the hype. It happens, all the time, all year long, since way back when I was a kid.

/rant done

Out of the hundreds of Wii reviews from Gamespot, you have what, 15ish there?

Sorry, but they are biased against the Wii. This game is quite good. Generic? No more than any other FPS out there on the market that has aliens, and guns.

Best fps controls ever in the history of videogames, and they focus on the fact that this doesn't have a revolutionary plot line, and somewhat straight foreward level design. (No more straight forward than Call of Duty: World at War, btw, which they raved about.)

And Gobias, have you considered for a second that many of us have been playing the game, and know what we're talking about?
