I think a lot of people say the 360 didn't have games last year partly due to the number of good quality PS3 titles that came out in the same year (MGS4, Resistance 2, LBP). Not only that, but I think if you compare to the previous year, 360 had a ridiculous number of top quality titles with games like Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 (I don't actually like Halo but sales-wise it needs a mention), CoD4 etc. I think most consoles lineups would pale in comparison to that year making it "appear" the 360 didn't have as many games last year.

That is impossible!  The PS3 is the pinnacle of hardware reliablity.  If you had five that broke, you must have done something to break them.  You obviously don't know how to care for the awesomness that the the PS3.  The PS3 is so awesome that I saw one break, and then the CELL animated itself and replaced the blu-ray optics.  Sony is amazing.  Mine has never broken, and neither has any of the 2 friends I have with a PS3.  You must be a closet X-bot!!!*

*  I'm only saying that now so that (ahem) some other poster won't come in and say it to you.  I don't actually beleive it - my PS3 broke and that was the response I received when I asked for help on a PS3 forum**.  This is just a public service.

I actually just told my brother to wait and not buy a PS3. He had thought they were $300 already but I told him we may see some price cut and hardware changes (slim) soon so he should wait until at least August to make his decision.

Either that or he should buy one used which you can grab for like $250 with games included
