Have you guys heard about this neat project before? It's a mod who's goal aims to restore the entire A+C beta of the legendary The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They have a few videos of some of the work they've been doing on the official YouTube page for the project:

The project is looking awesome! I used to visit sites talking about how the Triforce was supposedly in Ocarina of Time and they removed it from the final game, or how Castle Town was very different from the one used in the final game. So, since I was interested about how the game could have been since I was a kid, I can't wait to play this. It seems like it's going to be a totally new game! xD

Nice, actually I do remember seeing early screenshots of the game in magazines way back when, and I remember that the Hyrule Castle Town was originally fully 3-D like Mario 64, and not pre-rendered backgrounds with fixed camera angles.

Also remember seeing pics of link holding the triforce in what eventually became the Temple of Time just outside Hyrule Castle. Of course these pics were from late '96 when the N64 was just launched if I remember correctly, so they're obviously alot different since the game wasn't released for another 2 years.

Can you play N64 emulators? I think they're going to release a mod, so you'll definitely need to have a ROM for it. I don't think it's illegal to talk about this... I mean, if you own the original game it's OK, right?

Or maybe just a standalone version is going to be released? I don't know. That's why I can't wait to hear more about this project! =P
