I agree, Xenogears had an awesome story. I havent played Persona 3, but Persona 4 had an awesome story too. Persona 4 was a really good game.

Really, best story ever? C'mon this is a big claim, we need moreopinions. I never played, but I hear about this game all the time, seems its one of those games I missed.

only started playing Xenogears now. So far its pretty good although i cant say its the best i guess ill just have to finish b4 i decide but nevertheless, there are wayyyy to many games fighting for that best overall story spot

I played Xenogears first when I was like 18 and have beat it maybe 4 or 5 times since then and each time I have liked it more. It really is a great story.

Well, I can't think of ANY videogame I've played that has even come close to Xenogears storywise.

If you played Xenogears you would being saying the same thing that i'm saying. It has the best videogame story EVER.

I think Parasite Eve had the best story ever.

Whats more amazing that's its based on facts (a true sci-fi experience) nothing else even comes

close. "Hideaki Sena" made something that was really like no other.

Both Personas are, story wise, interesting. Not good as Xenogears, but pretty good too. IMO P4 has better story, all "who the heck killed these people" is great. If you still didn´t play Personas, do it. Xenogears too, if you can, go for it.

 

On topic: I must agree with OP too. Xenogears has probably best story of JRPGs.
