Damn, making... that sucks. My friend got YLOD a few months ago. He is all set now. I hope it's a speedy recovery. I'm lvl 55 in DS so I want to coop soon.

Wow that sucks man i feel your pain (kind of) except when my 360 Red ringed i just took the HDD off and it works on every 360 console.

I wish reliability was better on consoles. Ever since last gen with the PS2 and xbox DVD drives. :( grr

Well on the bright side you can just buy the $199 console and put your hard drive on it. Oh wait... that's the 360. The stores only carry a $399 PS3. I'm very sorry for your expensive loss.

that was uncalled for, besides he has a launch PS3, if he had a lauch 360 it would have broken ages ago, lulz!!

that was uncalled for, besides he has a launch PS3, if he had a lauch 360 it would have broken ages ago, lulz!!


Extended warranties fixed many of those consoles. So booyah!

Also my UPS guy said he gets A LOT of PS3s. So I'm just saying...

just happened to me a few weeks ago but was able to copy over the save data. Well even if it's out of warranty for 150 plus tax you can have it replaced

1. tell that to the guys that had to replace there 360's 5-12 times a year for the first 2 years, more warrantie or not, it was an issue that even 360 fans got annyoned by at the time.

Lastly, the fact still stands his Launch PS3 outlasts many launch 360's, granted not all, but ALOT. :P

1. Never heard of that, so maybe its just a grain of salt.

2. My UPS guy is very trust worthy.

The first PS3s were $600. They better not fail!
