Ok, let me address the OP
A. Ghostbusters has twice as much resolution on the 360, despite leading on the PS3. That is big, because Sony fans used the "game leads on the PS3" statement to act as if developers cared more about the PS3. Truth is, making a PS3 game would not be plausible if it wasn't the lead platform, because it is so hard to develop for. It is much easier to port UP than DOWN. Yes, ghostbusters looks much better on 360, so do most other multiplats, and they probably always will. Also, Forza 3 looks as good or better than anything on the PS3 so far.
B. People claim that there is not a huge difference between upscaled DVD9s at 1080p and Blu-Rays. This is true on small screen TVs below 42 inches, and you should accept that, at least. Not everyone has perfect eyesite, and not everyone is rocking a 52 inch plasma, so to many, many people, especially those on standard TVs, the different is insignificant. Period. Blu-Ray is NOT anywhere close to the jump from VHS to DVD, and even implying that is ridiculous. It might be 1/10th that significant of an increase, with its major function being increased content on 1 disc, rather than amazing new visuals. Upscaled DVD looks great. Blu-Ray looks better, but not 200 dollars better, unless you have a 42 inch plus TV, a 7.1 surround sound system, and are a big Sony fan.
