You stated you often seen 360 fans agree the PS3 exclusives are 'well beyond' the 360.

Welcome, nice to see another Amiga buddy around here. I wouldn't go as far as claiming most 360 fans would agree on almost anything the PS3 might have an edge on. However 360 users in general is something else.

For example I haven't seen any 360 fan acknowledge PS3 exclusives in general have pushed the story telling aspect of games much further than 360 exclusives so far. I think this is rather obvious, I think some of the most hyped 360 excluvies have been rather emotionless. For example Gears 2, Mass Effect and Oblivion (once upon a time a 360 GOTY exclusive as well). I think Bioshock so far has been best attempt on the 360 so far at trying to go for a deeper story and presentation.

Just compare acting performances and presentation:

Some highly praised XBox 360 exclusives:

Mass Effect
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbgctpmWKC8 (IMO, look like puppets)
Gears 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idVmo37OdAM

Compare to some PS3 exclusives with their story telling:

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmFD2Gy5vgc&feature=fvw (funny, pixar-like)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cHl0IJ9OUU (adventurous, funny and tension)
Heavenly Sword
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4E7U48mPlQ (mysterious, funny and touching)

IMO a top modern game is able to bring up such emotions, from what I have seen in 360 exclusives so far, most often the story telling is rather amateurish and uninspiring in comparison.

What 360 game has really convincing facial expressions like shown above (presentation)?

Maybe Alan Wake will up the standards on the 360, Remedy is a good developing company. But looking at upcoming games like Uncharted 2, God of War 3 (anger), The Last Guard (touching), Heavy Rain (thrilling), etc I think PS3 exclusives will continue to provide more immersive story telling and presentation.

Thanks for the Atari vs Amiga. Amazingly the 'superior' Amiga is dead...

Nothing lasts forever.

I can see it now! My turmoil is really growing...

You wouldn't get any emotion from an Xbox 360 game unless I snapped a Gears of War 2 disc in half and stabbed you in the face with a shard.

I think in general such turmoil and anti-PS3 propaganda is already dying out slowly, IMO we even see this amongst the US press. The remaining snips some extreme fanboys seem to clamb onto looks ever more desperate to me. Currently it seems mostly Eurogamer (UK)'s articles.

Like I said before the 360 is capable of running any PS3 game and vice versa (with sacrifices or not). However Sony seems to push far more for immersion with regard to their exclusives.

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Nevermind MikeB we have plenty of evidence to show the PS3 can run the 360 games with lots of sacrifices particularly AA and resolution. In fact given the huge weight of actual evidence available it proves all your weighty claims to be the bullshit they indeed are. Just explain what gives you the lofty position to judge the depth and scale of story lines, many of which you have never played on the 360 I might add.

Prove the evidence of this immersion in Sony stories by the way, it would appear its not reflected in people becoming immersed enough to buy their software to the same degree as they do with the 360.

There is and has never been any propoganda against the PS3 and certainly no sites with the obvious agenda of the likes of SDF. The simple fact is Sony released a console that was over hyped, didn't deliver and ultimately too expensive for customers to justify buying. Right now the PS3 is on a level term with the 360 for most multiplatform games and some exclusives graphically at least are pushing the boundaries but while ever there is such rabid fanboys pushing an agenda like you, people will continue downplaying the consoles significance. The problem for the PS3 is elitist people like you drive more customers away than you convert, its also a reason more people are attracted to Live than PSN (even though its free).

I agree with this. Even when I purchase a PS3, I probably wouldn't want to admit it on this site.

Sony elitists kind of push me away from openly rooting for Sony. There are 360 and Wii fanboys, but Sony extremist are just intolerable (on this site).

Like I've said before, it's not the console that is hated on, but I think many individuals dislike the blatant propaganda inherent in the  Sony fanboys' gospel.

In the end, I do want Sony to stick around. Competition is always great for the industry, but I wish its most offensive fanboys would disappear.

I'm not a fanboy, I just try to tip the balance in favor of logic and common sense.

One is movies, one is games.

People buy consoles for games....

But.. I agree. The difference between blu ray and dvd is huge... IF (!!) you have a decent 1080p tv,

And.. 360 versions of multiplats do look better.

Yes thats is why I bought the ps3 so I can play Uncharted,Gow3,Mgs4,kZ2 and many more+I can also watch movies using it....on the other hand the 360 only plays game....

so no....one is for both movie and games while the other is strickly for games.

I can't believe I'm getting sucked into this obvious (though subtle) troll thread, however:

I use my 360 for far more than just playing games, I have 2 arcades that JUST act as media extenders so that I can play movies and music in different areas of the house.   Sure you can do this with the PS3 but the PS3 is an unfriendly design for this sort of thing, doesn't integrate with Windows Media Center, doesn't support my Harmony remote out of the box and costs twice as much as an arcade.

You also forgot Netflix, the VOD service and the upcoming additions of Twitter and Facebook.

Having said that my 360 is my main gaming console and my PS3 is mostly used as a Blu-ray player.  At the time it was the cheapest player available, gaming was just a bonus.

Your bias is well known therefore your opinions in relation to the Xbox 360 and its games are invalid. Even Eurogamer UK couldn't be accused of being as biased as you.

Btw, you do realise that Heavenly Sword was going to be an Xbox 1 exclusive at one point (I hope)
