I mean, they've been hard at work for quite a while now on a new Formula 1 racing game for numerous platforms. Just yesterday it was announced that F1 is basically dead as the vast majority of it's major teams are pulling away to form their own championship. So now Codemasters are stuck there with a near complete, useless game that probably won't be allowed to sell due to inaccuracies. 

Surely they have to get compensation fo this?

Probably will sue someone.

Yea, this whole thing could hurt them alot, especially in the recession.
Do they have any other big games coming out or were they dedicated on this one?

Crumbs. I never even thought about this. I am guessing the game will release no matter what.

Im not sure that will be allowed, and even if it does it's sales will have been weakened before it hits shelves.

Don't see how F1 could stop them.  Codemasters has the rights afterall.

I mean look at wrestling games... by the time they come out over half the roster is out because of injures or fired because they lost popularity or went roid rage or something.

It all depends on the license and contract.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. 

Yeah this is bad news. Also look at Fuels horrible sales, a lot of money they lost.
