Forums - Microsoft - halo wars should i give it a shot?

Great game and the best RTS on console hands down.

This is coming from a huge PC gamer as well. (Shio.....tisk, tisk, try not to show your elitist bias)

With this years RTS pickings......or I should say.....lack there of (Total War & Dawn of War 2 are good, thats about it so far IMO) Halo Wars is probably one of the best RTS released this year, and probably even compared to the year prior as well.

That is until StarCraft 2 releases and dominates the genre for the next decade, but who knows when that will happen.

I agree because you'll then see just how great the game is, fantastic!!!

It is a great game, well worth the £20 I spent on it about 2 weeks ago. There were times when I was yearning for a mouse, so that I assign units to keys, and custom select multiple units and select all types of certain units on screen....

There is many problems with it, but it is still a great game and great fun, even if not on the same level as Company of Heroes

I would say rent it.
The cinematics in the demo were beautiful.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Really? Personally I hated going back to the mouse for Dawn Of War 2. Halo Wars controls for me after going back to PC were so much better. I sat on my couch not ever wanting a mouse. When I went back to a mouse, I wanted my sofa and controller. Very few issues with Halo Wars at all. More RTS need to be like it, and more RTS need to use this control system instead of mouse. Please. K. Thanks.
