If that is all of the hype, than it isn't even close. Halo 3 was hyped far more than any other game has even been hyped in the US.
Though I agree that this is super hype for a non major Square-Enix game in Japan. Heck, there may even be more stuff before it actually comes out.

Wonder what kind of flavor of slurpees a monster can be made into. Could be interesting....

I Can't wait for MH3.
Now if it only was a good game or atleast something I am interested in.
WOW!
Is this all Capcom or is Nintendo lending a hand (ie pushing money Capcom's way)? This is really all Nintendo could hope for, huge hype for a "hard core" game for its Wii. Just what the doctor ordered I say. This together with "casually" friendly games a la Nintendo (Wii Sports Resort, Mario's, etc...) makes the Wii look very strong in Japan for the end of the summer.

Jerry: They're the worst.

That should apply to Nintendo before the release of DS and Wii, because I've never seen so many Nintendo commercials as frequent as now. You're right about the promo in regards to their hardcore franchises though, but that is intentionally I think. It's not that they don't know how to market a game, it's just they don't want to do it for their hardcore franchises, only for their Nintendogs and braintrainings...
OT: If this game doesn't sell at least 2 million copies in Japan, I don't know what third party game will. I think it's safe to say then, that third party games indeed don't sell on Wii. It's looking good for now though.
I'm shocked nobody has commented on that yet, but ..
Logitech is called Logicool in Japan ? never knew that
