I gave up on them recently when the guys that slam motion controls were all creaming themselves over the NATAL and Sony motion controller, and not seeing the hypocrisy.

The only issue i have is tons of fans are labeled as haters because they dare to criticized Nintendo, when none of the 3 console makers are perfect. Nintendo is a company, not God, not your friend, they don't care about us, but our money just like any company. And that goes to all.

This is true, Nintendo is not god - they are just a video game company. They are one of the largest ones and pump out some of the best games but they are still only 1 company and can only make so many games (their game output is quite incredible to be honest).

I don't mind critics of Nintendo. For instance Brawl (an otherwise awesome game) has sucky online. NSMBWii is slated to not even have online. They don't advertise their games like they should (besides "Wii" games) and they do rely on their establish ips a lot (they innovate within those ips but rarely make new ones).

But it can (and does) go too far most of the time. For instance off the top of my head I can think of Captain Rainbow, Disaster: Day of Crisis, and Endless Ocean as new IPs from Nintendo this gen - along with the entire "Wii" game series which some people like to discount (which is weird because it is on its way to becoming one of, if not the, best selling series of all time). And the online in MKWii and Animal Crossing: City Folk is loads better than Brawl.

Okay i'm rambling - but to sum up: you are right Wii fans do jump down peoples throats for "Wii hating" a little too much when they might just be constructively criticizing Nintendo, that said there is still a lot of Wii hate on most forums and that is simply because the main demographics of gamers that frequent gaming forums does not line up fully with the main demographics of Wii gamers.

Oh yeah, I think that's bullshit. As far as Nintendo fans go, I'd probably be a pretty 'casual' fan, ha, as a lot of stuff they do doesn't really appeal to me and I'm just as big a fan of Sony and don't have anything against Microsoft. I'm just sick of the vitriolic few who blindly bash everything Nintendo without ever having played it out of some insecure need to make their own games "real", "hardcore", "mature", and so on.

Well said, what I would worry about are not those who critized Nintendo but the sites and reviewers who completely ignore the Wii as a console. The Hate is there, but it's not from the people Nintendo fans focuses on.

EXAMPLE: why gametrailers reviewed the HD version of Tiger Woods 10 days before the Wii when it was well known the Wii one was the best one and the most cared about. These site threat the Wii like step child and those are the true haters, not fanboys.

@psrock: you are very correct, but in either case (those who bash Nintendo, or those who ignore it) it doesn't affect my gaming pleasure (or Nintendo's sales) so I'm fine with it - it even helps make Nintendo strive to do even better because no matter what they do people aren't pleased so they try to do even better the next time.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people just hate the Wii, if it was a powerful console with motion controls yet was able to launch at 250 bucks then nobody would complain at all, but the past is past, I'm still impressed by some of the first party games Nintendo can come up with on the Wii so I really can't complain about it. as far as haters go, I just try to get them to play Wii games, you don't have to like the Wii, but you can't deny some of the good games on the system, that would mean you are not a real gamer. /shrug
