Forums - Nintendo - BioWare Intrigued by Wii Development

I've been saying for years that a Buldar's Gate style game on Wii would be fantastic, because for the first time ever in RPGs you could have 3 buddies over and everyone could control their own character (4 wiimotes = 4 mouse) directly. Online would still be madatory but for my generation who grew up with D&D, having the gang over every weekend, this would be huge as we could recapture some of those glory days.

Does it really matter in what cases the games were made, or what they are? The point is that there's quality Western support from rather high quality devs, and some are major devs like Ubisoft and EA (and Bioware works for EA now!)

Bethesda said they'd announce their Wii game this year btw, so we won't be waiting too long for that.

Yes it does matter in which cases these games were made and what these games are.

I would give Bioware proprs for the Sonic RPG. It had solid Bioware game engine all over the points. The reason the story was difficult. Was that they tried to make a story to appeal to both Japanese and Americans unfortunatly it didn't work out so well. Maybe just sticking with a Japanese story with Western game play would have done best.

Also I would believe that later than sooner for a Bioware Wii project. Though I wouldn't doubt they have already taken some sample code up and running.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I don't want DQX to be the only multi million selling RPG on the Wii :)

Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

One down, hopefully more awesomeness to come.

if they made KOTOR 3 for wii, and charged 500 dollars for it . . .

sadly i would BUY that game post haste!

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

@SaviorX

Hopefully they get John Cleese again. Alsp they would keep the 1943 type flying parts. also make it at least twice as long, as it was way too short. maybe a little too linear, should be more open. all in all tho i did love that game, and a sequel would be welcome.
