It already did, Rare needs a real Banjoo.

Rare's guidence was lost long ago. Even without good direction they made some...good...games. Hopefully Petey can help them back to the good ol' days. But even Molyneaux can't make miracles, can he?

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Metacritic is an aggregate of the opinions of worthless hacks who can't, won't, and never will be objective arbiters of the quality of gameplay art and entertainment.
Or do you believe that the greatest games in the world are Ocarina of Time and Grand Theft Auto 4? I wouldn't put either of those in my top 20. And yes, I bought the limited edition gold cartridge of Ocarina the day it came out, and loved the game. Still not top 20 for me.
On the NES, Rare made Super Glove Ball for use with the Power Glove. This game is going to be very important, because it's being remade for Natal and called Ricochet. The game is awesome, and has full 3-D depth and everything. For Natal you use 4 limbs instead of 1, and you lose half the gameplay features. Now it makes perfect sense that it was Rare all along! Rare also made R.C. Pro-Am, Wizards and Warriors, Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, BATTLETOADS, A Nightmare on Elm Street (4 player co-op NES platformer), and more. That's just on the NES, and I have and love all those games.
On the SNES they made Killer Instinct, which was pretty good, and Donkey Kong Country, which is even better than GoldenEye. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Blast Corps and Perfect Dark were pretty incredible too, but I think their NES and SNES lineups were more epic.
I am not arguing that Rare was awesome in their snes days, but they also made alot of memorable n64 games.
i was just too young during the snes( and nes) to remember them that well
@dsister44, hey you're never too young or too old to discover great NES and SNES games. I've probably discovered more gems on those systems in the 2000s than in the 80s and 90s combined. Donkey Kong's one of my favorite games of all time (I voted for it in the VGC top 100 games) and it was made 2 years before I was born!

Also I'd like to publicly apologize for implying that ALL reviewers are worthless hacks. For example, VGChartz reviewers aren't hacks, and there might be a few others here and there. Our reviews here aren't yet included in the joke that is Metacritic. And when they are, that'll just be giving an ounce of credibility to the system.
What I meant was that reviews are subjective and should be used one at a time to gauge your own interest in something, based on your own tastes. Using Metacritic's numbers objectively means you don't even know what you like and don't have your own tastes, and are trusting a group of strangers that have nothing in common with you or each other. You shouldn't cite their numbers when they support your arguments and dispute them when they don't. Either agree with every single number on Metacritic, or disagree with the system. But if you agree with every single number there, you're insane.
The thing that i liked about Rare is that they were quiet achievers, they released gem after gem with minimal of fuss and not alot of hype and let the games speak for themselves. I don't know that they can do that anymore though.

IGN gave Conker's Bad Fur Day a 9.9.
Is he moving away from game and gonna overhype the dev's themselves now?
