Not in my opinion....actually, none of the 3 current home systems have as good a library as the PS2 had in the same time frame (imo), which is quite lame...this generation started too slow, too weird and more expensive than previous gens, and that´s why I hope the usual 5-6 year cycle is abandoned this time in favor of a 7-8 year cycle.

It depends on what you like. If you enjoy timeless games like JRPGs, hack n slash RPGs etc then yea sure I can see the PS2 library being better than the PS3's. However if you like genres which are constantly updated like WRPG, FPS, Sports, Music etc then its quite likely that the PS3 will have a better library than the PS2.
