What we don't know is what method(s) were selected for play. There are a lot of different options available. So to make an accurate assessment is not possible based upon the information provided.
Actually, on Tiger Woods, I think the game has outsmarted the poster. It must be thinking "this [person] is making movements that he should not be making. I am just going to stand here until he does what he is supposed to do rather than dance around like that [person] is trying to make me."
Pretty smart programming on EA's part.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |

Is anyone surprised that if you don't use the controller the way it's supposed to be used that the game reacts the way it isn't supposed to? No. No one is surprised. |
Well infact I was expecting total freedom on the golf club. Just like baseball on Wii Sports. But the club only accepts input forwards and backwards. It would be good to have total freedom. Maybe for 2011..

so you want to be able to swing the golf club like a baseball bat for no reason? EA has no reason to impliment controls like that, as you really have no reason to ever do that in golf.

But wouldn't it be fun to be able to bludgen your avatar (or favorite golfer) to death with a golf club?? Just keep motioning like you were smacking yourself in the head. But then keep_the_change would complain about the lack of blood spurting out.

Some questions about your Grand Slam Tennis wrist flicking:
Could you effectively make the shots you wanted using this method? Could you slice when you wanted to and do a flat shot when you wanted to?
Because from what I saw, yes you could hit the ball but you didn't seem to have any control on where it went.
