Didn't Wii M+ come out? Wasn't that meant to boost sales or something?

Anyway I think at this point we will definately see a Wii price cut this year. They just built bigger factories, it costs them more to not drop the price that to drop the price.

I don't see why Wii M+ would make much difference, especially short term.

I mean, you either are into waggle already, or you are not.  If you already are, then you already have a wii.  It's too soon for skeptics to suddenly say, "Oh wow!  This will be what I want, I have resisted waggle until this awsome tech!".  If M+ makes a difference, it will take weeks if not months to make a difference in sales.

Well that's common sense but half the VGC belived Wii will explode after M+ is released :D

Maybe some people who wanted to buy Wii are waiting for MS/Sony motion controls now ?

Ummm...maybe you haven't noticed but Wii sports resort is coming out next month, I think you confused WM+ with Wii Sports Resort.

Hardware doesn't push consoles, Software does

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

From what I hear, the Wii doesn't need your concern.

Sports Resort, Monster Hunter 3, Crystal Chronicles, New Super Mario Bros...

It could be outselling the HD competition worldwide in Japan alone once it gets warmed up...

Generally I agree, however I am sure the balance board pushed some consoles...  (of course part of that is the software that comes with it).

It was Wii fit that did it, the Board is just the controller, Tiger woods and GST won't push motion plus and the Wii, Wii sports resort will

It was the combination of wii fit + BB that did it.  Without the balance board, wii fit would not have sold nearly as well, and certainly wouldn't be selling consoles without the hardware anywhere near as much...  Hardware alone will not sell consoles, but hardware + software can, even more than software alone can.  Another example is DDR, which sold a lot of PS2s (although now it's for every console), not to mention guitar hero....

I think Tiger woods with M+ has the potential to, way more than Tiger woods without M+...

Oh wow and i though people are hyping Sony games to the roof :)

Monster Hunter 3 will sell maybe 500k in Japan and will not give more than 20-30k hardware boost for a week or two.

Crystal Chronicles - i don't see much hype for this so it certainly won't have impact of main new parts of FF, it won't even get close to more famous spinoffs like FF X-2 but it's hard to say if it will have good or bad sales - last FF game on Wii was less than stellar.

Sports resort will be big but it's not going to get many new players - if you liked motion controls you already have Wii if you don't 1:1 controls throwing frisbee is not going to make you spend $300 (Wii+WSR).

Of those only Mario can give significant hardware boost but as game from DS it won't pull Galaxy numbers.

lol, yeah pulling numbers out of the air doesn't give your argument any credibility, MH3 only selling 500K when its bundled with a new color, lol, anything less than a million in japan will be surprising.

Sports resort will bring in a ton of peopke, first off Wii sports is always sold sperately in Japan, so you'll see big sales there with Wii consoles, and in US and Europe, you'll have people trying the game and wanting to buy Wii because of the games on Wii sports resort.

Actually NSMB Wii will outsell Galaxy easily, 2d Mario is preferred over 3D mario

No you're putting too much emphasis on the board, if they had been able to implement Wii fit without the board it would have sold just as well and would have been pushing systems, people get Wii fit, for the exercises and for the training help, the balance board is only important as a way to give those experience, but its the gameplay that attracts people, not a flat piece of plastic

I'd say my predictions are lot more probable than your prediction of 300M Wii sold when 2015 is over and 150M Wiis when 2010 finishes.
