I should have bought my ps3 sooner and my psp later.
Tho only consoles I actually bought were my DS Lite and DSi. And I am very happy with those. My Wii I got for Christmas so I can't really complain about that. I regret not getting a PS3 earlier, but I don't want to spend that kind of money. Now I'll probably end up waiting forever.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I like both PS3 and Wii. I would like to have a 360 but it doesn't work with my home cinema.

Of course.
The only reason to not buy a console is if you won't enjoy playing it. I think by now all consoles have enough great games to make each a worthwhile purchase with no regrets.
I would have bought my 360 later, and waited for the more reliable machines. But that damn Gears of War couldnt wait any longer. I dont play it much as it is so for it to already die twice was a little aggrevating.
Bought a launch PS3 so no regrets there, my video game choices might have changed though.
No regrets about my 2 PSPs, got the first one at launch and the second one recently. Should have bought more games though.
This is actually quite pointless.
I think if before the gen started everyone knew that 1 in 3 360's overheated and was dubed the RRoD and in a year and half worth of time MS will start taking care of the problem and in 2 years time the problem would be uncommon then many early adapters would probablly be turned off. And in that case would Ps3 sell faster? Would MS be able to "steal" the Ps3 exclusives?
One thing changes everything!

there are still people who haven't bought any systems for this generation. Assume that rather than buying a console, you held out until now. Plenty of other people have done it, so obviously it wouldn't totally change the generations outcome.

I got a DS lite for xmas, but i probably wouldnt buy one. But with a Supercard it helps ;]
Had an Xbox360, got bored fast but it wasnt a waste of money because I gave it to my cousin which he's a big MS fan but unfortunately for him it got RRoD
Have a PS3 and loving everything about it.
