STORY : was the one of the best i have played in a open-world game. the characters i thought were nicely done, they had a nice back ground story for each one. from the 1st scene in the game to the end the story the unfolds before u is well expressed, wether its through the main story or through the dead drops u have to find all over the city. wont say anything about the ending, but after beating the game i am excited for a sequel for sure.

GRAPHICS : the characters are nicely animated,the buildings and environment are all well done. the water looks very good and the special effects from cole are really good. when u play as a hero your lighting effects are white and red when u are playing as a bad guy. the character faces could of used some more work, cole and trish and zek , and others seemed alittle off. the enemies are ok, not much it seemed was put into them or the variety of them either.

REPLAY VALUE : their are alot of side missions to do and gain experience u need to upgrade your abilities through the game. some of the missions are easy and dont require much effort and others might take u a few try's before u complete them. their are 32 dead drops in the game, they are these little satellite dishes on the roofs of the buildings , some of them are easy to see and others are hiding close to billboards,and around corners and in dark spots, so u will have to check closely when u are on rooftops, also listen for a noise ( scrambled noise, thats telling u a dish is near you ). u get 3 trophies for finding all of them. also their is 21 stunts for u to perform, 1 trophy at 10 stunts and another at 21 stunts ( at 10 is a bronze and at 21 is a silver ). he is a tip for everyone, when u get to a point where u have to make a karma decision wether u do something that makes u a hero or a villian in the main story, save 1st. then do the action and get the trophy and load your save and do the other action, that way u get both trophies without playing through the game a 2nd time. same for the ending in the game, thats something i didnt think of until after i beat the game, so if i want those trophies i have too play through a 2nd time, just thought i would save u guys some time, through a mistake i made. also after u beat the game u can still play through the city and finish what ever side missions and dead drops u didnt find or finish when u beat the game.

CONTROLS : i really liked how cole handled in the game, felt everything was very responsive and had no issues with anything at all. just a well done job overall.

alot of the trophies are easy to get and if u do the save and do 1 action get trophy and load and do the other u should beable to get 100% for the game if u play it on hard during the playthrough if u decide to do that. going for the rest of the trophies i missed sometime soon.

I bought Saints Row 2 instead of this game, yesterday. I really regret it, now. Your review (and pretty much ever other) tells me inFamous is a game I really need to be playing.

I might be reading this wrong, but you have to play the game twice even if you do that.  You will need to get the buy all good/evil upgrades, 100% good/evil, and finish the game as good/evil trophies.

You are correct, and playing through a second time to try out the "other side" should have been noted in the replay value section.  Cause thats the only way to get all of the trophies is to actually play through twice.  Like I did.

Nice review Infamous is indeed an awsome game 9/10 for me.

This is a game you really need to be playing, instead of saints row 2 :P

Saint's Row 2 is an awesome game with a lot more to do than Infamous, and with much more mission variety. 

But when you get the time and cash together I highly recommend playing Infamous next.  They're both great.

its a great game, i would give it a 9.2

when you take in consideration of all things on screen it looks amazing, especially the underground levels.

also to note the side missions are really cool as they can be done really quickly. a very very solid game and well worth a purchase.

Infamous is good, but it's not a 9 game. It is full of flaw, starting with the control all the way to the graphics. What saves the game is the fun factor, it's really a joy to play. The story is kind of cheesy, but not bad at all and I can't stop playing the game.
