How about a $50 price cut?
Or never?
maybe if i only have to pay $200, but otherwise no. just not enough games for me.
Not unless they add backwards compatibility again for PS2 games again. I wouldn't buy it for the PS3 games because 95% of them don't interest me. I still prefer the PS2 games, but I would like to see them upscaled on the PS3.
Sorry. Price cuts means that something 'small' would have to be lost, and the PS3 already lost a lot of features.

I don't have enough time for a 2nd console.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be to long - Mitch Hedberg
Nah As much as i enjoyed the PS1/PS2 the PS3 just does not interest me at all still. Other than the the new Final Fantasy comeing out that is. But, I am not going to buy it at any cost for just that one game.

Well its not the price for me. I would buy it if it came bundled with 2 games, not 1 game for $400 but that won't happen. Well no since i barely get to play my pc since my 360 has an amazing catalog of titles to offer. In other words one system is enough.
I play the Wii about three times as much as I play the XBox 360, I haven't traded or sold the XBox 360 because I use it a lot as a media extender, and I couldn't justify a $300 console to play (maybe) one game a year that was exclusive to it and didn't have a very similar game being released on one of the other consoles.
The last time Sony dropped the PS3's price, coupled with MGS4, the PS3's got a sales boost of 180% They almost closed the gap between themselves and the 360. This time the gap is way too large, so they will need a horde of games as well as a dropped price. Sony will also need to market Uncharted 2 like never before, because that game is 2009's sure GOTY and the PS3's only chance at having a major heavy hitter this year. Another $100 in price cuts would boost sales. Anything less will not get them as much as they hope. Fourth Quarter would be the perfect time.
