Forums - Sony - Prototype: PS3 vs 360 images

Comparing those two pics its obvious the PS3 pic looks better. The one question nobody has asked though is what was used to take these photos, such as did they use the same Television, adjust the picture settings correctly for both, use an HDMI cable for both, etc...
If they did everything fairly the PS3 version wins hands down based on still frames.

Where is the Eurogamer comparison?

"To say the graphics and game engine need work is a massive understatement and many of the missions are cookie cutter in design without any real focus or attention to detail."

"From its old school design to its gameplay struggles, Prototype resembles a superhero who leapt off a building only to realize he doesn’t possess the power to fly."

"Prototype is the story of a very good videogame that asks for a little more polish in every aspect to transcend and become something special. "

Even the positive reviews backhandedly complement this games poor graphics and other shortfalls... Yes, the game was WIDELY PANNED. For some reason, though even those sites scored it fairly generously, and it has a few throwaway sites that gave it mid to high 9s.

Neither this nor InFamous is nearly as good as their metacritic scores suggest, and it's really not worth arguing where it looks better if it's not a top performing title to begin with.

Believing in the PLAYSTATION®3......IS.......S_A_C_R_I_L_E_G_E

lol I'm so used to the 360 version looking better in these comparison I automatically assumed the the first pic was the 360 version since it looks better. Guess not :P

lol, I was thinking the same thing.  The only other game I know to look better on PS3 is Soul Calibur IV, because people are lazy like that..

I disgaree, I think Prototype is amazing, and deserves 8/10, however I agree that its pointless to do any type of graphics comparison as they're not all that fantastic.

PS3 slightly blurry but has more shit on the ground. Difference noticed while playing the game = 0

So you where playing both versions and noticed the subtle differences?

Did you play the 360 version at a friends place counted the debris on the floor than ran home and played the PS3 version?

Thats exactly what I was going to do!

But I got distracted by ice cream and forgot to bother with being concerned over trivial difference.

i saw both versions running at the same time:

there are 2 differences, one scores for 360, the second for PS3:

360: A little bit brighter colors. there are a bit more intensive on 360, which looks actually a very little bit better.

PS3: It can load various details faster as the 360, and show them earlier, and you can see them (a VERY LITTLE bit) better in the distance. (the one picture with the stones at the ground , completely missing on the 360 was the only extreme exception i saw.)

a small point: you need 700mb space for the game on ps3, its nothing big, but i think that made it possible to score in the detail-case.

so its not important which version you get, because you wont see any difference, if they arent running side at side.

(things used: my hdtv, his tv (same as mine), my ps3, my 360, my PS3 prototype copy, his 360 Prototype copy.)

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

ps3 has more detail with the ground but its way to blurry which defeats the purpose.

QAA SUCKS,  ITs NVIDIA crappy AA that blurs out everything.

Ps3 version is more detailed

I'm amused at the reversal of defensive roles in this thread.

From those pics the PS3 version is definitely better.
