Forums - Nintendo - Wow, Dragon Blade:wrath of fire has some serious sleeper hit potential...

D3 Publishing shouldn't be considered 3rd party in the same regard as Capcom, Konami, Bandai/Namco, Square-Enix. D3 is a small fry and this game is a small fry rushed effort, people shouldn't be so hasty to weigh it as proof that 3rd party games struggle on the Wii. This game is no higher a calibur than Carnival Games.

Around the Network

Just rented this game, and coming from a 'small fry' publisher, was much better than I had expected. My son and I found the controls to be fine, with a little getting use to the specific motions needed for some swings.
It is basically a button masher, but with a decent amount of variety.]

It's fun, but not terribly deep or original. I'd recommend it for a rental, and for a budget title, it's not bad at all, hell, it's a lot better than many games released full priced this year for Wii.

It could indeed be a sleeper hit, but with Soul Calibur, Rygar and Star Wars Unleashed on the horizon, the uniqueness of this game will be short lived.
