The back catalogue isn't removed from sale each year so perhaps it's feasible the image of the 360 has changed enough that people are looking at it as a valid alternative to the PS3 more and more. When you consider all the games that have been released previously and plenty more to come its not that hard to see why the sales have picked up. I doubt the 360 will ever outsell the PS3 for more than the odd week or two this generation but it does make it look like there is at least some improvement in the Japanese publics perception for future "foreign" consoles in the future.
Numbers not great this week, 360 only is impressive now because of poor past performances. Last place is still last place in Japan.

Can't wait til see the rest. These are after e3 sales. Give you a better idea who won.

No, the overwhelming majority of buyers have no interest in E3.
And, the DS did not have the best E3 showing!
crap sales on ps3. but ff13 will rack up all these low sales worth by 100x in its 1st month on sale.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

We are pretty near from DQIX realese, it will certainly put Japanese sales in heaven again at least per 2 weeks.
