Everyone one of us has a unique taste in games so I suspect there will be people who agree with you and there will definitely be people who disagree. I am just trying to see what is the most common opinion about these games.

What does an AAA game have to do with a well known developer, media hype,etc?

You're not playing the hype, the developer or sales but a game. That's like saying okami isn't an AAA game, but it sure as hell is. What's wrong with gamers this gen Oo

Anyway it's pretty obvious which game I voted on, so don't even ask. The second game I voted on was left 4 dead. I had great fun playing it at my friends house.

IT was a question of expectation versus reality.  We have some games that were produced by people that we know have created great games in the past and we expect nothing less than a AAA title from them. After the game has been released, we see the games have an average of <90% ratings from "Critics" . My question is in your opinion (as a Gamer) after playing the game did it deserve to be a <90% average game?

This is not an exact science but still it is the the best way to guage differences between Critic's opinions Vs Gamers.  I am sure there are people who have only played a handful of these games but you can still have on opinion of the one's you have played .

i voted and i think left 4 dead was a little skimpy on content to fully deserve 90%+, i've played it through on pc so i know, i just needed more to warrant $60

Uncharted, of course... If there's a game that comes to my mind as a clearly AAA title that doesn't fulfill some quite arbitrary criteria, that's it.

Why isn't Mario Kart Wii included in that poll?

I wanted to keep the playing field even so I have nearly even distribution of games. There was one snafu with FF-CC:my life as a king which was supposed to be Little king story.  Other than that the top 6-7 games for each platform that did not make the >90% rating were chosen from gamerankings.

I ignored a few games that I believed were not AAA or were established franchises with yearly releases. Mario Kart would have been included but the aggregate score for it is 81.9% so 6-7 game limit ws reached before it could be counted. Madworld would have been counted before Mario Kart Wii.

For all intents and purpuses I am told that mario Kart Wii is very similar to mario kart for the game cube and that is why it has such a low score (for  a mario Kart game). It is very fun to play.
