Forums - Gaming - Greatest Aventure Game of all time revealed! By Megaman.2.

@OP
I respect your opinion, but due to gameplay design errors this doesn't rate in my top 10. Best adventure game to me so far has been "Hero Quest 2: Trial by Fire". Played through that game over 15 times and always trying different ways to solve them.

What SotC does right is the bosses. No other game handles boss fights better. The game should be about fighting bosses not traveling some boring Hub world that served little purpose than a desolate atmosphere.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Too bad this will be forgotten in 10 yrs.

So very, very wrong.

This game will be remembered by many as one of, if not the, best PS2 games. Not something that's easily forgettable.

For those that play it, it sticks with them unlike any game before it.

Oh, I saw the thread, but it was so full of I's that I didn't see any purpose of looking further

If you play this or Ico on a BC PS3, does it upgrade the graphics?

How can you get these games? I mean Ico and Colossus.

Let's pretend I own a BC PS3, how do I play them?

1) Get game

2) Go home

3) Open box

4) Take disc out of PS3

5) Put disc in the correct box

6) Take SoTC out of box

7) Put SoTC in PS3

8) Close box

9) Play!

Step 5 is the only challenging one

Radiant Silvergun says "HI!" if that's the case. And don't you guys start with the "emotion factor." It's there in Zelda games as well... plus they have more gameplay. I've always felt like a changed player after completing a Zelda game myself, it's not just Link that changes in the game.

Also, I just want to say that I watched a speedrun of the game because I knew I would never be able to find a copy of the game. Still, I believe I can comment on the game from what I've looked. It did look fun fighting all the bosses (man, that last one was quite epic!)... but the "Prince of Persia jumping around stuff" as been there for how long in video games already? There's nothing new there.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Again, do you have a quote to where the Sony leader submitted this article?

oh wait I get it you're saying you are the Sony leader which isn't true at all.

From the moment the controller sits in your hand, this game comes alive. Witness giant and sometimes majestical beasts roam vast landscapes its almost a shame to bring these creatures crashing to the ground but what an intense challenge. The size of these colossi is portrayed fantasticaly with clever camera angles. The detail in the scenary and the foe's is incredible for a ps2 game. This game is a must have, a masterpiece and no other adventure game can compare to the mighty Shadow of the Collusus.

This is my own opinion

After you've immersed yourself in Shadow of the colossus, you'll wonder why there aren't more games out there like this. A drop of pure light amongst the raging violence of the videogaming world. An artistic masterpiece in its own right!

To hell with you, Shadow of the Colossus is an ACTION GAME! Has nothing to do with the adventure genre.

And ICO and Zelda games are NOT adventure games. They're from the Action-Adventure genre.

I think we can now all agree that the best Adventure of all time is either Grim Fandango or Curse of the Monkey Island.

lol, here comes the PC elitist. Yes, traditionally point n click games are adventure games, but point n click is a dying genre. By a more modern definition I'd say Ico, Zelda, Fable, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian and many more are indeed adventure games.

But if you really want to be correct, yes, you should call them action-adventure.
