Well, it's not something I'd really WANT to see all that bad, but I figure they're gonna add some new characters. Maybe new kinds of Pikmin, but also new main characters.
We all know Olimar and Louie were based on Mario and Luigi, so I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo included 4-player action and added 2 female characters with names like Peechy and Dayzee or something. That would in effect also make it more female- and family-friendly. They're probably gonna do something like that.

Also, it'd be so cool if the main characters had some new species of Pikmin, or could tame monsters, that they could ride on. Such a creature would then probably be called Yooshey or somehting. :p

I didn't say removed, I said nerfed. They should be as strong as 5 pikmin, and even slower than purples were in Pikmin 2

more pikmin colors, like a green one that emits light so you can stay out at night like green penguin said,
more places to go/bigger world,
no time limit,
i personally would like the amount of pikmin you can have to be raised,
more and larger enemeis.
