That is who I would normally go with when I played.  I didn't realize Ashley did anything useful, and thought Kaiden would be of value as with his psyche power, so I kept him and booted Ashley.

Wrex was okay, but I loved using Garrus.

Garrus always buckled to Shepard's will so easily.  It's like Shepard had some freaky mind control power over him.


It's because Garrus is a C-Sec officer. He takes orders from his superiors.

I like the banter they have in the elevators, and talking about the Genophage.


I agree. Also, the elevator music was hella akward and the ride was so long. Eveyones like "So....how 'bout them Yankees?"

One can speculate that the elevators took so long so that it would bore everyone to sleep, making the Geth invasion that much easier to pull off

My fav team is a vanguard shepard with the "combat" (the one that gives you adrenaline rush) mid-career upgrade alongside Wrex and Tali.

Garrus instead of Tali works well too, but she's a more interesting character.

I didn't like Kaiden at all, neither Liara - characters without weapon training blow T_T

And Wrex is indeed a killing machine: assault rifle, biotics and two invulnerability skills.

Actually Kaiden and Liara have a little ace in the hole because they don't have weapon skills. Particularly liara. Equip a HMWSG X on Liara with Explosive Rounds. She'll get one shot per overheat with it. However, since she commonly uses singuarity or lift. She has a nasty habit of lifting everything around her up, then completely blasting them all away. In alot of areas this causes a HUGE amount of damage if not outright kills them. if your fighting outdoors in low-gravity enviroments, this combonation always kills. As the enemies are generally blasted into space.

This works particularly well with kaiden and liara since they don't have the skill in shotgun and the biotic skill to allow them to lift or singularity. The spread is wider, and the damage and force is more "explosive" try it out.

What? That was my team on my first playthrough!

If you ask me, the characters from best to worst are:

1. Wrex

2. Tali (she's a good tech buff so you don't have to worry about not being able to decrypt and whatnot)

3. Liara

4. Ashley

5. Garrus

6. Kaidan

Worst thing is that on my second playthrough, I decided that I was going to have Garrus and Kaidan on my team. Kaidan can't take more than a couple shots before dropping dead. So yeah, put them in whatever order you want, but Kaidan is definitely last.


Exactly! Kaidan is a weakling! He had to go when I made a choice between him and Ashley!

Through my 3 times beating the game I never once even had a thought about letting him live..

Agreed. I saved the game right before the choice, so I could, just once, see what happened after I chose him to live. But in all 3 full playthroughs, off he went.

I did a run with Liara and the killing speed was noticeably diminished =/

Maybe I wasn't doing things right =)

I HATE Liara. I didn't even take her on Noveria. She's so freaking annoying. Everytime she talked I wanted to earn a lot of renegade points by telling her to shut the hell up. And you practically have to earn renegade points to stop the sex scene from happening. She freaking throws herself at you just from you being reasonably nice. I tried to talk to all the crew frequently, but I just cannot stand her character.

Wrex was awesome, and Tali I just found to be adorable. Ashley was a racist bitch, Kaiden I just completely ignored, and Garrus was okay. I hope the second game has better characters.
