Although party games are responsible for the wii losing alot of core gamers, should sony go this route to get their new controller into peoples homes. I believe that sony should in fact make the ultamite party game. Imagine using beloved sony franchise characters and put them together in a well thought out and entertaining party game using motion controls. Now imagine that you gave the studios responsible for these beloved franchises the oppurtunity to create stages for this game and mechanics inspired by their games. Like a ratchet and clank style minigame or hotshots. I think that a game like this would be reason enough to make a purchase and it would force people to buy multiple controls. Also it would give first and second party developers an oppurtunity to play around with the controls and to experiment without the pressure of making a whole game with motion control. Also I would make the game playable with regular ds3 so people have the option if possible. 

                            Anyone agree and if not what would be the best way for sony to make this controler successful this late in a generation?

No, casuals buy the wii, because it is cheap.

microsoft has a much higher chance of this working since they are priced under the wii

I know, but the hardcorez play the ps3. so they will be more tempted to buy it if it comes with a game that is good( thats right i said good )
