Anyone that is thinking of getting this game or even Forza 2... when you play racing games, do you choose a car with auto trasmision or manual?

If you like to choose auto and like to hold the gas pedal down (ala burnout), Forza 2 (and i assume Forza 3) will not be a fun expereience at all.

Forza 3 has a new sim player option, that lets you hold down the pedal and steer all you want, and the game will brake for you around turns..

Lol...never mind then

I read the entire thing and it really seems to be impressive.

I've never played a Forza game before, but I may give this a try or rent Forza 2 to see how it is.

Forza 3 and Forza 2 will be nothing alike, besides for the personal car customizations.

Did Forza two keep the Hill Climb races that Forza one had? Because those were by far my favourite, since you could just hold down the gas the whole time. While I'm not a big Sim racer fan, Forza 1 was just a hell of a good game.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

With the exception of Road Rash, I've never cared much for a racing game...this has me interested, to say the least. The the guy seemed absolutely thrilled in the hands-on. I like what he said about Forza evolving so quickly and so much compared to past racing game series.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Never played Forza 1, but here are the tracks confirmed thus far:

Here's the track list

  1. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, USA
  2. Mugello Autodromo Internazionale, Italy
  3. Nürburgring Nordschleife, Germany
  4. Road Atlanta, USA
  5. Sebring International Raceway, USA
  6. Silverstone, England
  7. Suzuka Circuit, Japan
  8. Tsukuba Circuit, Japan
  9. Road America, USA
  10. Twin Ring Montegi, Japan
  11. Blue Valley Raceway, TBA
  12. Camino Viejo de Montserrat, TBA
  13. Ladera Test Track, TBA
  14. Maple Valley, TBA

#1 is the one I really care about, im an MX5 (Miata) driver so thats like my home track I never drove at. Its the one I always race on with my MX5 in Forza 2.

It should be really easy to drive, even for a novice. Its definately something you should rent to check out, you may have a lot of fun even if you never get off the most basic assist level.

Forza 3 is goina be so damn good!  Racing game of the year possibly?

The odds are that this game may have 3 of the 4 cars i have owned in my lifetime

96 Mustang GT,1995 Dodge stealth TT and my newest ride...1994 Camaro z28

Even if they are not the exact same years, but same model and engine cars...I will be playing with these...and if Forza 3 cars behave any differently than my cars did, I will be back here ripping on its "sim- racer" cred :)

I'm going to assume that the hill climb races weren't real courses. They were one way non loop tracks that went up mountains and they were just so much fun to play. I think that's why I don't get too excited about these kinds of racers. I couldn't give a damned about realism and one of my goals in life is to not need a car. But damn those hill climb races were fun!

Will all the tracks in F3 be real? or will there be any courses just there for a good racing experience?

Im not sure about the tracks content, but im pretty sure that theres a good chance you'll be able to have fun with the game as its got an assist which means you don't have to worry about where to brake, you just have to worry about keeping the car on the green arrows. So as long as you can have fun with that assist im sure you'll be able to have fun with the game. Its designed so a 6 year old can play it!
