Trust gamepro. They don't review based on how high the production values are, judging from the score they based it on how much fun they had.

Not to mention they have a tendency to give games scores that are higher or lower than deserved.  Seriously, GamePro are not a credible source.

Interesting, since I was basing this entirely on my own experience with the game. So I don't know and could care less what Gamepro gave other games in terms of scores, but Prototype deserved that 9. IGN gave Prey a 9 for pete's sake.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

These are all opinions.

A. 1up did not give it a 6.7. It got a B-/A+ but you knew that already. Metacritic always pulls that BS on B minuses.
B. You've quoted the only 2 actual low reviews here. Gamepro, and IGN. Neither review very low, for those websites.
C. You never wanted the game to succeed, and indeed are simply here to play up the negative reviews for it, while conveniently disregarding the good ones. You are probably an Infamous fan.
D. GameInformer gave Elite Beat Agents a 6.75
E. You don't really consider GI a credible review source, you just said you did to propagate your lie.

All of these things are obviously true, imho.

I can't prove it, but I think that I know it is absolutely true.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

GameInformer also gave Tales of Vesperia a 7.25, those bastards.

Whats wrong with people? Why do you trust any reviews? Look at the footage, rent if unsure...but why do you care what other people that play this game have to say.

Like id be cautious if the game was getting 4/10 accross the board...but its still over 80 on metacritic and it should easily stay there.

The Xplay review convinced me to rent. The game looks incredible.

Yeah, but this thread isn't about bashing GI, though they deserve it for the EBA review.

It's about exposing the stealth trolling of the OP.

I've never understood why Metacritic and Gamerankings use two different systems for what numbers to equate to each letter grade.  Like in this situation Meta is a 6.7 and Gamerankings is a 7.5

You'd think they should just ask the review site to give them a number scale to equate all their letter grades to.

...

Hey OP, the game did NOT get a 6.7 from 1up. Get your facts straight. A B- is an 80(like college grading scale). You pulled your assumption from Metacritic which uses a different scale than 1up for their letter reviews.

Proof:

"A+ through A- range is considered excellent, B+ through B- is good, C+ through C- is average, D+ through D- is bad, and F is terrible."

Game Informer is mostly what I use. I agree with the scores cause it seems they like what I like. Different review sites are for different people. I really don't like most the scores IGN gives games but I don't discredit them. Different people have different tastes. A 7.25 from game informer tells me I'd like the game cause it's a genre I like, but a 7.25 in a platformer I would not pick up cause I only like really high scoring platformers from Game Informer.

There you go people...this is how gaming should be done! :)

You see it, you check the aggregate review summary for possible duds...and if it checks out and you like it, you buy it/rent it. Simple...

Id never buy Prototype as it has litte replay value once you beat it and the chaotic sandbox gameplay will get boring in 15-20 hours...but its amazing week long rental. Top of the line entertainment...

Okay, why are we getting so many damn review threads for this game?

And on Steam it has the IGN quote, "...perhaps just a tad too much fun" - 7.5? Should probably be higher.
