Funny thing about floods. When I lived in Ohio our basement flooded and the Atari 2600 got soaked/drenched. We claimed it on insurance because it was pretty much fried at the time (they gave about 20 for system and 5 for each game (had tons of games) so we got about 200-250 at least). We used the money to get Sega Genesis and a few games. After a few weeks of letting it dry out I hooked it up and it still worked. It worked up till the point I think it got stolen in a rental house we put it in.
