Forums - Gaming - IGN Hero Showdown: Master Chief vs Samus Aran

They'd most likely work together, and eventually get married.

But in a fight, Samus has far superior technology. And there's this undeniable logic I've always been throwing around:

Master Chief - Dead with one missile.
Samus - 255 missiles which can home on to your enemy.

I've never liked the Haloid video, it was basically exaggerated to make the battle seem even. In an actual fight, Samus would win. I'm sure monty just made it like this for fan service...

And then again, I feel monty's videos aren't really as good as they're cracked up to be. It all depends on the characters you use... Haloid was what brought him much of the fame he has today.

It is a little stupid to compare them.. i mean.. Samus' world is fantasy, meaning everything is pretty much super powered.. Halo is set in a semi-realistic near future.. Master Chief wouldn't have a chance, anyone who thinks otherwise knows crap all about the games

True, tabsina. But Halo needs a more futuristic feeling to it. The MA5B's range, power, and accuracy is arguably inferior to the weapons we have today.

Just noticed Samus was winning, too. Girl power!

 All science fiction is fantasy.

Hmmff I prefer samus (Metroid) more but Master Chief (Halo) is the most popular one (If I see to sales).

Most likely Samus.
Master Chief has super-human strength/jumping prowess, but his weaponry nor speed is even close to that of Samus'.

Now how long do we have to wait until the inevitable Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher pops up?

He's just saying that Halo's setting has a more realistic technological advancement from today, and that Metroid's is practically inhuman and beyond any human's technological grasp. *cough255missilesinanarmcannonthatcangenerateenergyveryquickly*

Sorry, doesn't cut it with me. They both have force fields, FTL travel, plasma weapons and anti-gravity. Halo is a freakin' bomb that blows up a galaxy, how realistic is that?

That being said, I agree Samus is clearly far better equipped and more resourceful than Master Chief.  I suppose Chief could always detonate Halo to force a draw, though. :P

I'd guess the missile system uses a variation of the morph ball technology to store them all. :)
