Forums - Nintendo - Where are all of Nintendo's games hiding?

Intelligent Systems is not unknown.

IS and Square-Enix signed a deal to work on *six DSi titles*, the first of which is Dragon Quest Wars.

I'm gonna guess Mario + Dragon Quest RPG is coming at some point.

Joelcool7, I'm going to assume that you were being facetious with that PSPgo comment, lol. Naturally the DSi and PSPgo are competing products, so the DS2 doesn't need to be released for a while yet, probably around Christmas 2010 I'm guessing.

The DSi does compete with the PSPGo in a way. However the PSPGo is a new platform altogether while the DSi is simply another model of the DS. Much like the GBA:Micro was not in the same generation of consoles as the origional PSP. I agree of course that we won't likely see the new DS/GameBoy till next years E3 and probubly not sooner then fall 2010. However we know it is coming in the near future and it is also likely that Nintendo has devoted some of their teams to developing software for it, or the Wii2. With the Wii2 expected at E3 2011 its only two years away and some of Nintendo's bigger games have taken up to five years to develope.

Perhaps I'm off base, but I thought the PSPgo was basically a PSP with a new flip up screen and with flashROM instead of a UMD. The processors are the same. Sounds very similar to the changes the DSi made, minus the camera garbage.

There's another thread about this that's significantly more thorough. While Nintendo really vocalized only a few titles at E3, they demo'ed a number of games that are first party developed (a la Line attack, span smasher and Monado)

So the question remains, when will Nintendo finally show us these minimum of 14 titles? Are all the studios working on current Generation hardware or could Nintendo have already begun internal development for the Wii2?

Think about it a second, each studio having up to 3 years of development on unknown internal projects, we should be seeing alot more then the few games Nintendo showed off at E3.

I'll admit that I absolutely love the idea that Nintendo has the Wii 2 all ready to go, and is just going to sit on it the next three years while they build up the most impressive launch line up in history. But I seriously doubt they would commit major software development resources to a console that is years away.

Well it isn't three years its more like one or two. Because the major three should show off their next consoles at E3 2010 or E3 2011. Also the next Wii will likely be about as powerful as the PS3 not likely anything graphically mind blowing much in line with this generations Wii. Good launch titles like Twilight Princess take years to complete. So Nintendo could very well already be working on the first batch of titles for the Wii2. If Nintendo has begun development as early as 2007, then they could very well give us the best launch line up to date. Wouldn't it be awsome if the next Wii launched with 14 first party titles rather then the few we recieved with Wii?

Nintendo is actually a small developer, as a result they don't have the manpower to pump out dozens of games a year for both the DS and Wii

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Avinash, are you trolling or do you really not realize how wrong you are? Nintendo is the largest publisher in the world in terms of raw units sold and also in dollars. They dwarf most others :)
