ok I reread your original post and I missed that.  No reason to think that both of Ass Creed and GH3 can't keep up that pace now that they are both bargain priced.  A lot of new console owners prefer to only buy old discounted titles after they finally have jumped in.

You know what is more impressive is that we currently have about 70 games that are 1 million sellers with probably about 5 more to happen by the end of summer not counting any new releases. Add in some sure million sellers like AC2, MW2, Forza 3, Beatles, ODST, Bioshock 2, LP2, L4D2, Mass Effect 2, and Madden 10. And that makes at least 85 million sellers by the end of the year.

Forza 3 won't at all

Assassin's Creed 2 will but not before the end of the year

Halo OSDT and MW2 are basically guaranteed.

Even bundled and given ages, Forza 3 would not sell 5 million. Just not going to happen.

As for potential 5mil sellers in 09, obviously Gears 2.

After that, I don't think anything. MW2 to pass 5mil in late Spring 2010 and ODST to pass it a year on from release.

I'll revise the FPS predictions as I had my numbers muddled. I think it will crack 5mil either shortly after Dec 31st. In all likelihood, start of February. ODST to break 5mil by late Spring instead.
