I have almost all demos downloaded (must be more than 30), 5 games installed and I have still over 30 gb of empty space... nope HDD definitely isn't crucial. I think even 20 gb would be enough.

Get the 40gb.. both are great Blu Ray players!!

Get whichever you want, they are bascily the same thing.

Just wait till the games come out for the PS3 that you like.

I'd get the 80GB because I have the 60GB and already have less than 10GB left....but I guess you could always get the 60GB, pull the hard drive, and install a 250GB hard drive in the future (what I'll prolly be doing soon)

I have around (15+ demos), (50+trailers), music, and tons of pics & .mov's from the internet on mine...that's why I've eaten up so much space...

I upgraded hard drives to a 160GB. All the demos so far have been dropping in at around 800MB to 1.2G. The 60G has the EE chip, but unless your really concerned with back compatibility on a certain game, it really doesn't matter. If your looking to buy Motorostorm, go with the 80G, if not, 60G.

Edit:  The EE is the only difference.  From the reports I've seen, the sound and heat output are the same.  There's really no difference. 

Thanks all. I think I'll get the 60gig and let my friend have the 80gig version (he doesn't care which version cuz both were good deals). Saves me 80 bucks. Should get it in a week or two. :)
