i think 360 controllers are $40. But regardless wired 360 controllers which IMO are better than wireless (just not available in red :( damn it ). So its only $40 for 360 controllers but i agree accessories are way more expensive this gen.

How often do people on VGC buy games? One a month?

That's 60$ * 12 (because they decided to do a HD tax of 10$), or 720$ a year, or 600$ a year for Wii games. Meanwhile, you're paying at most 300$ for controllers, once every generation, or assuming a 5 year generation 60$ a year, and that's if you're doing the stupid Wii thing where you decide everyone needs a copy of every peripheral, and you only play 4 player games. (I only have 2 Wii Motes and 2 Nunchucks. No other Ninty accessories. It hasn't been a problem yet.)

Why pay for the controller if you could get another game ?

Where the heck were you buying your stuff from last gen? Controllers were about the same, and memory cards were wayyy overpriced.
