If their main competitor was doing this I doubt we would be seeing this kind of backlash.

Forza has always been the more realistic racer with more things to customize. GT5's final release is rumored to finally have damage, as well as a nascar mode, so in these regards it may finally offer "more" than Forza, but at the same time the cars will not be as good looking as Forza 3's unless they update those as well before the game releases. Who cares. I won't be playing either one unless they changed Forza 3 a lot. I hate realistic racing sims. I love arcade racers like the old Need for Speed games. |
I was with you up until you started talking about the cars in Forza 3 looking better... then I just started laughing at you.
I find it unfair how a stupid comment by a Sony executive will have entire thread dedicated to it, with people declaring Sony as being arrogant, and the same can't be done here for Turn 10.

Really? You are posting in a thread about a comment made by Turn 10, so I guess it can be done.

I guess that shows how little you know about the game. And as I said, I left there to be room to change if PD updates their cars. Right now there isn't even a contest as Forza 3 cars have like 20x the polygons.
And even then, Forza 3 will still have way more customization options, but that's obviously only for the truly hardcore. I could care less about some really advanced custom tuning and I would have no idea how to do it.
Trash talking = marketing strategy
Bribery = marketing strategy
Arrogant = Confidence
If they are done by MS, it's a good strategy.
If they're so confident in their game, why did they feel it was necessary to bribe people to vote for their game in an internet poll, of all things?
I think the fact that Yamuachi has never done so much as acknowledge Forza's existence hurts more than all the trash talk in the world ever could.

Do you actually believe the cars are 1 million polygons each?

Crossed out the part that was incorrect. They did not make any bribes.
And I'm sorry but all the companies are guilty of this from time to time, even Nintendo.
Also, do you actually believe they aren't 1 million polygons each?
