IGN - 7.5

weird no?

IGN is the most credible source. GameSpot is the only other site that matters when it comes to reviews.

CCC? PGNx? GamingTrend? I've never even heard of those before.

hahahhahahahaha.....saying Gamespot is more credible than 1UP and GameTrailers is a nice way have a laugh.

Kane and Lynch thing still makes me laugh...

Reviewing Prototype...

"Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of variety in these events and I often found myself wishing they made better use of Mercer's vast array of powers. Those included here are dominated by things like checkpoint races and killing sprees -- things that have been done so often as side missions in games like this that they're hardly worth mentioning. It's cookie cutter game design at this point."

*sigh*. I was going to rent it, but I hate repetitive games.

"Closing Comments
Prototype is a game with many cool features. However, it lacks many of the finishing touches that make for a great and memorable game. To say the graphics and game engine need work is a massive understatement and many of the missions are cookie cutter in design without any real focus or attention to detail."

"I don't have time to play video games anymore, but if I did, I would definitely choose the PlayStation 3 instead of the 360" - President Barack Obama

5.5 on graphics is a little harsh, I just popped in Sonic the Hedgehog and that game definitely deserves a 3-4 in graphics. Here's what IGN gave Sonic Graphics- "6.5
Decent character animation and textures, but the enviornments could benefit from more attention." WTF?! Decent are you kidding me I can see Sonic's hand super glued onto his body. I agree Infamous steps on Prototype in graphics but 5.5? From the screens I've seen I think they're more around a 7-7.5 in graphics. Average graphics not bad nothing amazing either, but not horribly shitty.

Infamous can be slightly repetetive too, like any sandbox game, but I think Infamous makes great use of Cole's powers. It mixes the side missions up a bit, Sucker Punch was pretty creative with them. I'm not a big fan of sandbox at all, but Infamous kept me interested.

A 7.5. That's not too bad. Quite a good score.

7.5 is mediocre.

Usually the good games can atleast get a 8.0, if not more.

The fact that IGN scored is so low tells me this game is not worth buying.

How's a 7.5 considered mediocre?

You have some really high standards or something. I've actually enjoyed some games which are panned by critics.

I LIKE REDMOON ONLINE. IT'S TEH MOST AWESOMEST MMORPG. IGN also gave GTA IV a 10.... stop thinking they're the best. The game is clearly above average and those scores prove it.

Everyone knew this game was going to be bad, why the big shocker?

InFamous > Prototype.

I hate to compare games, but we had Infamous vs Prototype threads here for the past few months. Sony gets both games, and the better game :)

Calm down, the game is receiving 4.5/5, 9/10, 9,5/10 in the entire day, we can't have a single "bad" review? Let's wait for the metacritic.
Infamous has a better storyline and characters, but Prototype has a lot of fun things to do, a bigger diversity of powers, vehicles, etc. Both games are excelent in their own way, and sorry but even you being a fanboy you can't change that. I can't say wich game is better, what I can say is that I love Infamous and Prototype.
