I saw Sims top the chartz for years when I still cared to look at the charts.

Sims 3 was the biggest selling PC game for EA, so yeah, it's amazing.
Like other have said, Sims 3 defines "legs" and will keep on selling for years and years. It will no doubt reach 15 millions copies.
Yeah, this game will continue to sell well.
Not only that but the expansions will probably open at 1 million each as well. And they always release like 6 or 7 per iteration.
You should compare it to games like Wii Fit, with its 250k opening week sales, and epic legs, than any blockbuster game with 50% of the sales on the first week, other 45% on the first month, and 5% later.
Also, the 100 million comes from the billion different versions. The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 both sold in the 10millions area.
That's a lot. And it's the type of casual game that keeps selling indefinetly.
