I don't believe in either heaven or hell. When you examine it closely all it is, is a hollow threat invented so that people become scared to question their religion and make them "behave". I mean how many theologies exist on the afterlife, thousands perhaps? I don't know. They can't all be correct and the likely hood of only one being correct is very unlikely as each holds as much water as the next.

I don't deny an afterlife, but I think evidence suggests that their isn't one, and even if their is then it is Extremely unlikely we already know about the right one. (I'm talking 0.000000000000000000001% chance here).

I mean if one person can offer me sound evidence for the existence of hell then I would like to see it lol

I know its not exactly on topic, but if you cant really use the 'chances of' arguement to justify an afterlife (or lack thereof) because the chances of life creating iteself by chance (assuming you would believe this if you believe there is no hell) is far less then then 0.000000000000000000001%

I think you misinterpreted him. He's hypothetically stating (assuming an afterlife exists) the odds of knowing the correct one, considering the plethora of religions throughout the world, many with similar Heaven/Hell stories.

There is actually a good chance of life being created from organic molecules.  We know organic molecules are created naturally by the universe, it rains methane on Saturn's moon Titan and there is a large nebula cloud made up of alcohol.

Life is simply the ability of chemistry to replicate itself, and all it takes is the right materials (organic molecules) and an energy source (sun).  Also, what many people dont understand is that the cell is not the first form of life, its actually a huge leap from its more humble beginnings.  The cell itself includes organelles that use to be independent, such as mitochondria which even has its own DNA.  Before that there were just naturally created protiens and energy cycles to displace energy (think Krebs cyles).  Once protiens got involved in the energy cycle process, life was born.

No...the concept of a hell is so typically human. Obviously made up.

A. You missed my point, I wasn't saying it had a 0.0000001% chance of existing, I was saying that you have a 0.00000001% chance of believing the correct one, even if one existed. Purely because so many iterations of an afterlife have existed and so many more are yet to exist, we have no clue which one of the many thousands Millions of afterlifes is the true afterlife.

B. Please google Abiogensis. Life creating itself actually has a good chance of occuring. By no means near 0.0000000000001%. Much better chance than a hell existing simply because we have can observe it as it is part of the natural world, where as hell is supenatural and we have little evidence to even support any supernatural worlds, let alone a specific one.

Basically...

Origins of life = Observable, much evidence found on the creation of life.

Supernatural afterlife = Not observable, very little evidence to suggest one (esp. a specific one) exists.

Actually, here's a video explaining abiogenesis if you're interested...

Short Answer: No.

Ironic Answer: Hell no!

Long Answer: It seems ridiculous to believe the mind is a seperate entity than the body when we can use physical means to manipulate the mind. I see no evidence suggesting an afterlife. If I found myself in hell after I died I'd be pretty stoked. That would mean I have an eternal soul, I am eternal and unendable. You could say that in going to hell I'd reach Nirvana.

Well there are some non-mainstream Christians that define hell as oblivion.

If Hell exists, it would be overloaded and flood Heaven. Assuming Heaven also exists.

Well technically the Christian god is omnipotent (ignoring the paradoxes that creates), so it should be able to create an infinite ammount of space, although I thought the soul was considered not physical.

Yes. Piss on you liberals.

Hoo-rah! Let's go outside of the internet. They don't dominate there.
