Don't you worry... our eduaction system really shows us time and time again what shit we've done ^^ But sometimes it feels a little bit behind the carpet because many of the things that belongs to this "past" are censored and something that "should not talked about"

Are you kidding or are you confusing Germany with some other country that was never really forced to deal with their violent past (i could name a few) ?

No other country in the world talks more about its darkest years than Germany. There are TV documentaries and discussions about national socialism all over the place, tons of books about the topic released every year even today and children learn about what our country did to the world in school.

Eh, they're just in a reactionary fervor over the shooting. It'll die down. Germany does have much more important problems to deal with.

I said some things... and I mean speeches from that time for example... and there are some thing that are held behind a carpet so noone ever touches them again... It IS talked to death but there are some things you can't get your hands on that easily and I don't think it's bad. I mean I was totured as evil german for more than enough years in school but some questioned were never proper answered (for me) and I learned while finding out that there is some stuff being locked. Not behind seven seals but... "hidden"

Didn't mean to offend some people, even to say "F*** you" (sweet maturity there Ak). Kind of intended more of a joke, saw it off Family Guy :P and know some people who've denied the Holocaust of having German descent.

I never meant for my statement "f**k you" to be taken as mature, but as it was, an insult to you.

You shouldn't learn about the world through Family Guy (I rememeber that tour bus skit they had), not to say I personally know much about the world.

Hidden ? What for example. Ok you cant buy Mein Kampf as a book because its forbidden. But not because they want to hide something. It should protect the people because its full of hatred agains all races. You can buy every History Book for 8th-9th grade and you can read ANYTHING how they made industrial products out of humans like soap or furniture. Or how they optimized the killing process so they could kill more people. Or how they killed Gay people or murdered whole villages in almost every european country. They killed even Germans which had one jewish Grandparent. Even if he got the steel cross in WW1. Which speeches exactly are hidden ? If they are hidden you couldnt buy BBC 10 DVD Reportage about WW2. Its forbidden to buy any Naziitems. Its forbidden to buy certain books which propagate the Nazi idea. But its not forbidden to get any informations about how the WW2 was and what the Germans did. The Americans would NEVER let happen this. They wanted the Germans to face the truth.

Well good thing I don't learn about the world through Family Guy.  Only intended as a joke seen on it.

If you want people to get a reference, you should refer to the thing in the first place, otherwise they'll just take it as your own opinion. Sarcasm is also hard to detect/depict with just letters and without voice.

Oh boy I really don't want to argue against that because of course you're all right and everyone learned it in a different way... Just telling from my experience and you just gave an example for the book... Yes you're totally right with why it's forbidden but after all it is a form of hiding... understanding that ill mind or however you want to call it. I said it feels like it and with that words of course I can only speak for myself. I had all form of teachers but even the one that was a little Nazi himself couldn't answer all my questions because I wanted to know all about the thing I'm still blamed for. And if you ask for some of the old speeches from different people... old documents and what was written into them you may find out that some things aren't that easy to find out... Of course we learn more than enough but FOR ME it wasn't enough back in the day. So take it that way ok?
