Forums - Microsoft - 4 Player MAYHEM!! Crackdown to have 4 player Coop!!

While details on Ruffian's freshly revealed Crackdown sequel remain few and far between, new information shows that the super-powered crime-fighting open-world followup will expand on the multiplayer offerings of Realtime Worlds' original.

Alongside single-player, Crackdown 2 will sport online cooperative play for up to four players and a separate online multiplayer mode for up to 16 folk, according to an official Xbox.com listing noticed by VG247. The first Crackdown, which hit Xbox 360 in 2007, only supported two-player online co-op in addition to its single-player mode.

An Xbox 360 exclusive, Crackdown 2 is slated to arrive at some point in 2010.

This is great. Nothing like 4 player sandbox coop...

This sounds fun.

Great news.

Cool, but I'd like to see at least two-player splitscreen. It's probably impossible in a sandbox game like this, though.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Wow, this is great news! You have no idea how awkward it is when you get stuck in a game with 1 12-year-old who won't cooperate with you.

I wonder if this means the difficulty will be ramped up?

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

4 player coop in a new crackdown game will work just fine. the orig crackdown although not to my liking has a good fanbase and im sure they will welcome more crackdown.

Depends what engine they use. Crackdown 1 endine is one if the best I've seen as there was no popup or slowdown. So it may even be possible...
