It probably doesn't bother anyone that you're not impressed with the sales of Infamous. People just don't agree with your statement that the game "assumingly" had an advertising budget of 10-20 million. I mean, you say you base that "assumption" on trends, but in reality it's based on nothing, it's nothing more than an UNeducated guess. That still doesn't mean that you're not allowed to make that statement, but just don't be surprised if anyone disagrees.
By the way, Infamous will reach 1 million sales in 4 to 5 weeks, according to VGC. The game is still selling 10.000+ a week, the holiday season is around the corner and a platinum/the greatest hits version isn't even out yet, so don't be surprised if the game will reach, or even exceed, 1.5m. It's up to you if that still dissapoints you. I think those sales are not great, but still good, especially since it's a new IP.

Yeah, no way Sony would spend that much on advertising. I mean they have absolutely no history of spending tons of money on advertising in a short period of time.

You're not seriously using the recent PS3 campaign as an example to prove that your statement of 10-20 million is an educated guess, are you? I mean, the example you just gave me is about a campaign for a price drop of 100 euro/dollar, a new and smaller PS3 console and a relaunch of the PS3 in general with even a new PS3 logo and a new boxart design for PS3 games. Yes, they spent, and are still spending, a lot of money on that.
But i'm just curious, how did you translate that into a 10-20 million advertising budget for Infamous, a new IP game? I'm not saying you're 10-20 million "UNeducated guess" is wrong, cause i honestly don't know. I'm just saying that it seems to me, and clearly to some of the other members as well, that it's just that, an UNeducated guess. If you could show me some figures of advertising budgets of other Sony published games, than maybe, just maybe, i would believe you that your "assumption" is based on "trends".
