So much FUD in this thread it makes my eyes burn, "Oh uncharted started out low so that MUST mean Infamous will hit a million!!!!

I gave the best example on Infamous wall, Ninja Gaiden started out 100k higher than Infamous, both released in June, 1 year on and NG is at 900k.

FUD is actually closer what you're doing: using some form of disinformation/fear to discredit a product. Uncharted selling low and therefore infamous selling high is an attempt to show a spurious connection between game with proven “legs” and a brand new IP in Infamous where none might exist but it discredits neither product.

You on the other hand show proven slower selling game and contrast it with a game that has been on sale all of several weeks. It’s a specious argument either way but you’re the only stating in a form anywhere near FUD.

FUD as a strict concept has nothing to do with the arguments carrying on here, in a strict sense FUD would be applied if the makers of prototype began spreading minformation that infamous would burn out PS3's and that Protoype on the other hand is fully functional and will not brick your ps3. or maybe infamous blue rays are poorly manufactured and will leach heavy metals into ones fingertips when one handled it.

People are picking the best case scenario when they choose Uncharted.

And you're picking the worst scenario ergo discredting..... read up on what FUD marketing actually is and stop projecting.

To stretch the concept of FUD you use it in attempting to discredit me by calling me an alt, you have no concrete proof either way you merely state it as a canards (arguments that are false), a canard does not need to be proved, merely used muddy the waters aka sowing of Fear uncertainty doubt as applied by IBM aka FUD.

LOL Ninja Gaiden is not the worst possible scenario. In fact Infamous will be lucky to reach NG2 sales I think ..

And there is more of the descrediting of infamous... which you just blithly attempted to argue you were not doing...

Its not discrediting, its being realistic. I'm not going to say its going to sell 1 milion when I don't believe it will just to keep the likes of you happy.

So now sales projections "discredit" a game? This thread is full of blindness.
