I know!  My son just got this game and the lack of offline multiplayer - in a series that always had it - is bizarre and highly disappointing.  Yeah, sure you can pay for a dlc that enables it but it should have been there right off the bat - it pisses me off they want extra for it.

Yea exactly.

I know it's my fault for not doing any research regarding this before purchase.

But all the previous installment had offline multiplayer and I assumed it would be the same...

 

There's DLC that enables offline 2P???

Yeah, some party play, but not splitscreen. Splitscreen is of course the key feature this game is missing to be absolutely awesome for me...

Split Screen and Aftertouch (for those damn races) would have made the game classic...also..I wish the crash sequence (that can last a few seconds each time you crash)...we shouldn't have to watch it every single time...apart from those things..it was a good game.
