You totally forgot Flower! And I think the Sixaxis is still a good thing. It's like saying the wiimote is irrelevant without the wii motion plus.

No, it's like saying the Nintendo Classic Controller for the Wii is irrelevant. It's okay for the occasional downloadable game, but if anyone tried to release a full, AAA, 60$ for it they would be openly mocked.

i must note that i ONLY play MKWii with the classic controller

and come on talk about an awesome comtroller, wieghs like a quarter pound if that, and has all the buttons of a ps3 or 360 controller

i honestly wish i could use it on my 360



Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

I think it's undersupported. Lair could have been a really epic game if it was not from sony forcing factor 5 to implement sixaxis to Lair at the last minute. R.I.P. Factor 5 T_T

Even with the patched controls its a pretty terrible game though.



Wtf is wrong with some of you people? Flower is a Recent example of Sixaxis and ALL it's Majesty.

Such Blasphemy... It's Still being used with more then a few games to come to PS3, you just have to look for'um, like Dark Sector, i thought DS was the same as the 360 version but no, it has Sixaxis support for the Glaive, really badass.

But the best examples for the use of Sixaxis would be Folklore, Flower and inFamous. (with inFamous Cole has a Power where you rain down a Storm of lightning and it's controlled 100% by the Sixaxis motion.)

With that said, yes, Sixaxis is still very much used and NOT forgotton.

Nah, it's just a gimmick now. Using it to balance over logs in Uncharted? What a pointless act. Noding your head in LBP? Guiding arrows in Heavenly Sword? Guiding the Glaive in DS? That's pretty much as pointless as it comes, adding nothing to the gameplay. It's pretty much added for the sake of having a type of motion control. It was okay at first when it had a certain "oooooohhhh" factor to it, but that's been lost.

True, the Sixaxis isn't what it use to be, but im sure it'll be more then just a "gimmick" with more games to come.

 

Flower, and Folklore's Entire game Experience is around the Sixaxis, so yes there are games on the way that'll still main it or be very important, granted i agree with you with U1, HS and DS but it doesn't prove the overall, not in the long run anyway.
